Youth Empowerment Academy

Designed to supplement standard middle- and high school curriculums, the Youth Empowerment Academy (YEA) provides students with a safe and challenging environment for one-on-one learning—an environment tailored to meet the individual and emerging needs of our students.

While courses at the YEA vary—students have the opportunity to study anything from music, art and financial literacy to coursework in “Science in the City” or “Academics Through Computer Gaming”—our academic offerings lead students to “economic readiness” by focusing on one of eleven core program elements:
